Hi!  I was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. My family has owned a cattle ranch since the early 1940's.  I have been fortunate to be able to experience the best of both worlds. - growing up in a small city and the country.  Additionally, Amarillo has a diverse population for culture and ethnicities, being one of the main refugee resettlement sites.  My mother worked with these populations, and I was fortunate enough to have a lot of exposure and influence from her client population.  This diversity along with my country values has impacted my creative work of blending the Native American, Latin American and classic cowboy cultures, as well as other world cultures.
I began creating comics and characters at a very early age.  It is difficult to describe why I love visual arts when it's been a lifelong passion.  I have always been drawn to bringing imagination, inspiration and experiences to life. As well as expression, I believe that art creates connection between people.
In my free time I am dedicated to my health and fitness.  I have recently taken up boxing and rarely miss a workout day!  I love spending time with friends and family.  My younger brother has special needs, and his health and well-being are of paramount importance to me.  I tend to prefer outdoor activities, such as hanging out at a beach, rafting, hiking, checking out scenic small towns and helping out at the family ranch.
